Daily Intake 30.03.11

⚫ A special event for FMA, Fullmetal Alchemist Frstival 2011, has been canceled owing to the Earthquake. (source). Odd how certain things are being out-right canceled rather than postponed.

⚫ A 5-person band Korean band, FTISLAND, will be in charge of the Torika ED, which is called ‘SATISFACTION’. (source)

⚫ The new anime movie based on a novel by Nishio Ishin, Kizumonogatari, is confirmed for a 2012 release. Kizumonogatari is a prequel to the wildly popular Bakemonogatari series, which tells the vampiric story of Shinobu and Araragi. We’re counting on you, Shaft! (source)

⚫ It looks like plans for a TV-anime adaptation of science-fiction manga Coppelion could be scrapped. On top of that, there’s the possibility that the manga serialisation will also be stopped. Following up on a tweet made by the author, Yahoo Japan posted an article about this. It seems that, although there’s no word on it from the publisher yet, their outlook is changing hour-by-hour. Although the story is quite close to the recent tragic events in Japan, it’s a real shame that someone’s creative work should be crushed as well. (source)

⚫ In an interview with male seiyuu Abe Atsushi and Okamoto Nobuhiko, they hinted that a 3rd season of Index is on the agenda. (source)

⚫ 2 Days left on the Working!! count-down now! What do you think it will be? BD Box? OVA? 2nd Season?

⚫ Preview of all the Nyantype posters is up on oreno.imouto.org here! Dat Infinite Stratos! Also, Madoka!

⚫ A picture-heavy post on genga collection book for Production I.G’s Sengoku Basara. Definitely some great stuff in this book. It’s a shame I could never enjoy the anime.

Mai no Mahou to Katei no Hi 01

New P.A Works anime, Mai no Mahou to Katei no Hi, has been put up in full on youtube! Nice! It’s obviously not subtitle however.

Baby Princess PV

Upcoming OVA which I’ve posted abut a few times. This PV looks so awful! But then again, fanservice.

  1. Too bad, there was a lot of great production work in both seasons of Basara. I think you would have enjoyed it if both series just had their foot on the gas pedal all the time.

    1. Actually I didn’t like how much they had their foot on the pedal. The series was so flashy and fast-paced that it became too juvenile to watch.

      1. Different strokes, I guess. I thought the over-the-top, insane action sequences were the strong points of the show. Once they slipped into the quite unnecessary plot exposition, it wasn’t that enjoyable to me anymore. The first and last two eps of both seasons were the best.

It’s a great series to waste time on every Sunday.
