Panty & Stocking OST leaked

One day prior to the official release someone has managed to get a copy of the much-anticipated Panty & Stocking OST, and is proceeding to share it with us on the internet. Three tracks have been uploaded to youtube at the time of posting:

「Fallen Angel feat. Aimee B」 Full size Ver.

「Fly Away」 Full size Ver.

「CHOCOLAT feat.Mariya Ise」 Full size Ver.

These tracks are really awesome! I was surprised to find that Fallen Angel was my favourite of these tracks and much better than I remember thinking from seeing the ED. The excitement over this OST is very high, and with good reason: it’s easily the best anime OST we’ll get released this year! It’s almost like a trip back to an earlier era (just a few years ago), when TV-anime would collaborate with talented and popular musicians to create unique and captivating soundtracks (e.g Samurai Champloo, Infinite Ryvius, Cowboy Bebop, Tokyo Tribe 2). Hopefully GAINAX has reignited a lust for good music amongst anime fans.

Oh, and you should buy this! I wouldn’t usually recommend buying an anime OST, but this is one of those rare gems that’s actually playable as good, standalone music!

  1. P&S really does have an awesome OST, it’s been a while since I’ve heard one that I like this much~ I just might go ahead an buy this, I’ve been needing some new music anyways…~ >_>

  2. Sweetness! Can’t wait to pick this one up, and you’re right Washi, this is totally an OST worth buying to listen to on its own. Lots of good tracks on this one, hopefully it gets a lot of good press, like you said, it would be nice to see some big acts get in on the anime sound scene again.
