⚫ Anime announcement: Hontou ni atta! Reibai-sensei is getting a TV anime starting this spring. It’s a 4koma manga series published in Monthly Shounen Rival about a teacher versed in the occult who can speak with the dead. Seems like it could be fun, and I quite like the character designs. #1

⚫ The shock of Suzumiya Haruhi was advertised in Yomiuri Newspaper #1

⚫ The official website for an upcoming anime, Mai no Mahou to Katei no hi is open here! The studio is P.A Works. The designs look nice!

⚫ The latest ratings for this week’s noitamina timeslot are in (which currently includes both Fractale and Horou Musuko): 1.6%! This is not a very good rating. it’s not the worst noitamina has been, but it isn’t far off. It also marks a steady decrease from the first week of the new season (1.9>1.8>1.6). The question to ask is, which of the two series is the baggage?

⚫ Haruhi truck spotted in Akiba! #1

* I watched a bunch of this week’s anime with friends today! It was pretty fun, and none of the episodes were disappointing. The lineup was: Yumekui Merry, Infinite Stratos, Madoka Magica and Gosick. The latest Yumekio Merry was genuinely good, and makes up for episode 2′s poor showing. Madoka Magica 2 was a little slow but still pretty interesting. More on those two shows later. Infinite Stratos was solid, cliche fun as usual. 8-bit is doing a surprisingly good job with that one.
